Hmong Youths and Parents UnitedHmong Youth and Parents United (HYPU) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides educational, social, and economic opportunities for under-served communities.
HYPU is the first Hmong non-profit organization in North Sacramento servicing Hmong students and parents. Its Board of Directors is composed of Hmong parents, professionals, and entrepreneurs. They have a great understanding of the current needs of students, the community, schools, and school district, and are eager to bring forth ways to fulfill them. |

We work for and with multiply marginalized folks in our communities to provide access, political education, & material resources that are needed to survive and thrive. Borealis philanthropy: disability inclusion fundThe Disability Inclusion Fund (DIF) at Borealis supports U.S. groups run by and for people with disabilities leading transformational change. Its principles and practices draw from the disability justice movement and aim to build power and a society that is free of ableism and other discriminatory barriers. The DIF is committed to disability justice movement-aligned funding including a participatory grantmaking process that involves members of the disability community to guide funding decisions.

Northern Regional Center (Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs)The Northern Regional Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) is a resource for families with children (0-22) who have any type of disability or need help finding a diagnosis.
We also offer parent support with loans from our resource library, scholarships to training and conferences, peer support from staff with lived experiences, and referrals to our statewide Parent-to-Parent support network. |
Family VoicesFamily Voices is a national family-led organization of families and friends of children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) and disabilities. We connect a network of family organizations across the United States that provide support to families of CYSHCN. We promote partnership with families at all levels of health care–individual and policy decision-making levels--in order to improve health care services and policies for children.
